What is ResponderOS

A true ecosystem for fire & EMS. Not another point solution.

Most tools in public safety solve one problem and create ten more. Scheduling lives here, training lives there, inventory is a spreadsheet, and field tools don't talk to personnel records. ResponderOS is designed to be the single platform a responder opens every shift — and behind it sits a connected family of web platforms: Academy for learning management, Logistics for resource management, MIH for community paramedicine, and Shifts for scheduling. Same organization, same people, same data — one login carries across all of it.

Not a replacement for
  • ×CAD dispatch software
  • ×ePCR / EHR systems
  • ×Payroll processing

ResponderOS fills the gap between dispatch and the record — the operational layer where most of the actual shift work happens but almost no software follows. It is purpose-built for the captain, the crew, the BC, and the medic doing the job.

The platform supports responders before incidents through preplanning, training, and staffing readiness; during incidents through command tools, field reference, and clinical support; and after incidents through documentation, knowledge capture, and personnel follow-up.

Six capability pillars

Find the capability that fits your role.

ResponderOS is organized around what responders actually do — not around software categories. Start with the pillar that matches your work today.

How it fits together

One ecosystem. Deeply integrated.

These are not separate products bolted together by exports and CSVs. Every capability shares the same organization, the same people, and the same data — so work started in one place finishes in another without anyone re-keying it.

OS RESPONDEROS CORE Planning & Administration Field Response MOST USED Operations & Incident Mgmt Personnel & Leadership Training & Knowledge Wellness & Community Health
The ResponderOS family

Four dedicated web platforms. One login. One data model.

The mobile app keeps the station floor and the scene. Desk work lives on purpose-built web platforms — and the app signs you into each one automatically. No second account, no sync job, no integration fee.

Learning Management
ResponderOS Academy

A full LMS for fire & EMS: formal courses, credential and certification records, CE review, and training authoring & analytics.

Deep integration: a crew drill signed off in TrainingKit lands in Academy's CE review queue automatically — and skill evaluations captured at the station read back onto the member's Academy record.
Resource Management
ResponderOS Logistics

Full resource management: item catalogs, location trees, par levels and expirations, ordering, serialized assets, quartermaster issuance, label printing, and reporting.

Deep integration: a QR-scan count session closed on the station floor turns its shortages into an order in Logistics — and labels printed in Logistics scan right back into the mobile app.
Community Paramedicine
ResponderOS MIH

The growing mobile integrated health platform: longitudinal case management, care coordination, program analytics, and a family-facing File of Life portal.

Deep integration: a referral or File of Life enrollment captured by the field crew opens a case in MIH — consent, signature, and record included — ready for the community paramedic's home visit.
Scheduling
ResponderOS Shifts

A fully functional scheduling application: platoon cycles, shift templates, assignments, leave, trades, open shifts, and coverage — with a complete audit trail.

Deep integration: the schedule published in Shifts is the same one ScheduleKit shows the line — and PayrollKit generates time entries from those assignments without anyone re-entering hours.

That's the unique value of an ecosystem. Training feeds credentials. Counts feed orders. Referrals feed cases. Schedules feed payroll. Every other vendor sells you the bridge between those systems — in ResponderOS, there is no bridge to buy, because it was never split apart.

Module explorer

Thirty modules, organized by capability.

Each module replaces a binder, a clipboard, or a notes app responders are quietly using to stay above water. Start with one — the rest stay out of your way until you need them. Tap any module to see what's inside.

Field notes — from the shift.

Updated between calls
May 14 · A-Shift
Quick-counsel template went live. Last week a difficult shift-change conversation reminded me how clunky the existing one was — three taps and a free-text field. It's now one tap with a structured prompt for the four things that matter.
May 8 · A-Shift
Reworked station visit deficiencies. The flow used to require you to acknowledge the visit, then separately open a deficiency record, then attach the photo. It's now one screen — deficiency optional, photos batched. Spent the second half of shift on it.
Apr 30 · C-Shift
Probationary touchpoint reminder fires earlier now. The 90-day evaluation reminder used to fire on day 90. That's too late — coaching needs to happen before the cliff, not at it. Reminder now fires 7 days prior and again at 24 hours.
Apr 22 · B-Shift
Wellness exposure logging supports retroactive entries. Sometimes you don't realize an exposure happened until after the call — the smell on the gear, the cough the next morning. Retroactive entries with a "noticed on" timestamp now supported, separately tracked from incident time.
Built between calls

A captain writing software for the line.

I'm an EMS Captain and Army veteran. Most of what's in ResponderOS was sketched on the bay floor between calls, refined during a counseling session that ran long, or rewritten after a station visit didn't go the way I'd planned.

It exists because the tools available to front-line responders haven't kept up with what we actually do — and because I needed it for my shift tomorrow. The people I trained under built the doctrine I rely on. What I bring to this is different: I'm still in the seat. When something feels off in the field on Tuesday, it gets fixed by Thursday.

If you're an active firefighter, medic, line officer, BC, or program admin, reach out. I'd rather hear from someone who's running a shift this weekend than a procurement office that hasn't.

The 30-Day Challenge

Use it for a month. If it's not worth $4.99, I'll refund it myself.

Download the app, use it genuinely for 30 days. If at the end of that month you don't find at least $4.99 of value — a conversation documented, a checklist completed, a deficiency that didn't fall through the cracks — email me. I'll send the refund personally and use your feedback to fix whatever fell short.

No support tickets. No forms. One email to me directly. I built this and I use it every shift. I'm confident enough in it to put my own money behind it.

This offer is for the responder willing to put in the 30 days, not kick the tires for five minutes and move on.
